Suggest Treatment For Achy Joints And Headaches

Hi , I starts taking Microbid last Thursday for a urinary affection I now ache in all my joints, have a bad headache, am freezing cold, can hardly walk, and just want to sleep should I stop taking them until I can see a doctor on Monday oh yes don t want to eat anything Your advice would be appreciates

i can understand your concern.
microbid contains nitrofurantoin which is used to treat urinary tract infection.
the adverse effects of which include arthralgia(joint pain), dizziness,headache, loss of apetite,weakness,nausea among others.
all the symptoms you have explained are potential adverse effects of nitrofurantoin.
i would advise you to stop taking microbid.
take tab aceclofenac 200mg for arthralgia. kindly consult a doctor for further evaluation.
kindly donot take antibiotics except on doctors advise.
drink plenty of fluids.
syp citralka(10ml mixed in glass of water) is also advised till you consult your doctor.
