Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain, Pelvic Pain And Burning Urination

I have been having burning sensation when I urinate for a long time but didn t think much of it but now I m experiencing constant abdominal and stomach cramps, sometimes I feel waist and pelvis pain as well. Also I went to see my Doctor and he prescribed Lansoprazole. I took it for 2 weeks and I felt better so I stopped taking the rest but the pain have come back again, what should I do because the pain is very excruciating.

Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
it seems you have 2 different problems.
One is the stomach problems that get better with the stomach pill. If symptoms come back with the quitting of the pill you will need to consider a 4-6 weeks treatment with it. If symptoms return after taking it for that period of time than a stomach endoscopy would be advisable to rule out ulcer or other stomach problems. If Endoscopy comes out normal than tripple therapy to eradicate H. Pylori might be an alternative to consider.
2. another issue is the pelvic pain and urinary symptoms. They do not seem related to stomach pain. if you are having urinary symptoms you will need to have a urinalysis and urine culture. if they come out normally and you are a female you will need a GYNAE visit and further needed tests that the GYNAE visit might suggest to check for GYNAE infections which might be sexually transmitted ones or other ones like yeast infection or gardnerella. If you are a sexually active female and not had a routine pap test done according to the recommendations yet, you will need one done.
Meanwhile make sure you have frequent small amount of food and avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoking. Avoid greasy food and spicy ones- to help with the stomach pain. Make sure you take plenty of fluids, avoid also vaginal douching and just use warm water for genital hygiene and avoid detergents locally there. Use cotton underwear.
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question.
