Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain , Gastritis , Nausea And Constipation

Hi. I ve been having stomach issues since last year. All on the right side. Painful bowel movements, at times. Very gaseous. Nauseous. Constipation. Extreme fullness after meals. Had many tests last year. Colonoscopy, abdominal MRI, gall bladder checked. Everything was perfect. Dr still prescribed an antibiotic. Kept diet simple. Symptoms have been on and off since then. Passed 3 months had a 1 day period which isnt typical for my cycle. Now, it has stopped completely. Followed up with GYN. Not pregnant. Uterus and ovaries look good :) however, Dr prescribed provera for 5 days. Still, no period. For whatever reason, I feel like this is stomach related....though I ve ZERO knowledge to back that up. Pointed to the same place to show Dr where I m having sharp pain and bloating....she said its my appendix. Basically, I m wondering if appendix issues can affect menstruation? I ve had no issues with my menses, ever. Please help...I m so uncomfortable. Bowels are messed up everyday. Would be nice to have the release of my period....

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Stomach pain, gas trouble, nausea, stomach fullness and constipation could be related to gastritis or gastroenteritis or some other intestinal issue but it must be evaluated further by complete medical history and thoroughly clinical examination with some relevant tests.

Without examination and tests it is very difficult to comment regarding diagnosis since all your investigations were perfectly alright.

Meanwhile,You can take some pain killers (diclofenac) and antispasmodics (dicyclomine) with antacids (pantoprazole) available over the counter for symptomatic relief and continue with provera as your per prescription from your gynecologist and wait till your periods starts.

Also take laxatives or purgatives 3TSF at bed time for effortless bowel evacuation.

However he is advised to undergo routine blood tests with abdominal ultrasound or may be upper GI scopy again since it has passed almost 1 year of previous tests to rule out internal abdomen issue and to be in safer side.

So,you should see some local physician for complete evaluation.
