Suggest Treatment For A Swollen And Painful Bruise On The Back
I fell in my walk in shower on Friday because the floor was really slippery. On the way down I hit my back (lucky for me it was on the right side where I have back fat) and it immediately bruised and was swollen - I hit it hard and continued to the floor. It still hurts and now it s a black bruise and it s hurting all around my side into the front. It s only bruised where I hit which is about 5 inches wide, but I m kind of concerned about the pain that hurts all around my ribs...what should I do next?

Hi--you need to get this evaluated with rib x-rays since you may have fractured a rib or two. You may also have a vertebral fracture
