Suggest Treatment For A Sore Pimple At Base Of Penis
My boyfriend has a white centered sore at the base of his penis. It is reoccurring and normally only stays a couple of days. It is very sore to touch and itches but does not leak any fluids. We are wondering what could it possibly be and if there is over the counter medicine he could try?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Sore pimple on penis can be due to various reasons. If you send a picture then it will be more helpful in identifying. It can be a Fordyce spot which get Inflamed due to scratching. Fordyce spots are harmless and taking garlic and antioxidants will be helpful to get rid off this. Tretinoin cream locally also helps. But other conditions like herpes or wart or fungal infection should be ruled out. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
