I have a weird thing going on inside my mouth. On one of my cheeks, I had a canker sore earlier this week. Now right where my upper teeth touch my cheek on the side of my mouth, I have a piece of skin that is hanging. I don't exactly know how to explain it.
thanks for the query, the hanging mucosa over the cheek could be a torn mucosa secondary to trauma by teeth or it can be an inflamed parotid gland duct opening. nothing to worry avoid trauma to the mucosa while chewing. if it becomes symptomatic consult your oral physician. i hope my answer will help you, take care.
