Suggest Treatment For A Red Spot On The Tongue

I have had a sensitive red spot on my tongue going on three weeks now, and day before yesterday I started feeling rawness on the inside of my bottom lip and cheeks. I've had a lot going on for the past few months from losing my job to lay-off to injuring my back and little to no income because of it all. Lot of stress, but I'm having to hold on because I'm the sole provider and my wife is handicap. Could all this be caused from stress?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your sensitive red spot on the tongue with rawness on inner lips and cheeks seems to be due to inflammation inside the mouth and can be due to Apthous Stomatitis..
It can be due to nutritional deficiency, stress, acid reflux, allergies etc..

It can also be due to an inflammatory condition known as Lichen Planus..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like microscopic examination of scrapings from the lesion can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly...

You can be advised to take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Do antiseptic mouthwash gargles..
Suck ice pops and do cool water rinses..
Avoid spicy and hard foods and take a soft and bland diet..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
