Suggest Treatment For A Red Rash On The Torso
Doctor, I have developed some type of rash on my torso then it spread mildly to my neck and face. It does not itch. Only a few are red in nature. They seem to be fading away on the torso after about 4 days. My question is did i develop this rash because of a lack of hygiene (I had not showered the previous 2 days before getting the rash) or is this a cause for concern?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red rash on the torso. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like contact dermatitis , allergic reaction due to detergent, soap , fragrance , chemical, metal such as in jewelry, poison oak or ivy, an animal bite, or an insect sting and lyme disease . Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking these red rashes. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , corticosteroid ointment and immunosuppressants , anti inflammatory . For now take benadryl twice a day , apply cold compresses , avoid direct sun exposure and avoid any cosmetic product .
