Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Neck

My son discovered a lump on the back of his head near his neck. Not where a lymph node would be. It is large and suddenly appeared today. It is tender to touch. Not red or open. It does not move when manipulated. What do you think this might be and is it urgent to see a doctor?

hi.

yes, it is best if you bring your son to a doctor for complete medical and physical examination. diagnostics (such as neck ultrasound or scan) and management (medical or surgical) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
