Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Forehead Caused By A Fall

Hi my son fell off the monkey bars 3 weeks ago and he landed on the timber plank forehead first. A large bump appeared straight away, bruising and swelling.His eyes became swollen and black as a result of theheadinjury. At the time of the fall I applied an ice pack straight away and took him to the medical centre. He now still has a small bump on his forehead and am worried it will not go away. Could it be calcification or do you think because the bump on his head was as large as a goose egg it should go done eventually? Isthere any thing I should do?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your son has history of trauma. So it should be hematoma formation. Head injury leads to swelling and black eye. Don't worry much about that. Lump will disappear gradually. Just apply ice massage. Anti inflammatory drugs and analgesic drug can be helpful. Drugs like Chymoral forte is useful to get fast recovery. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Nothing to worry.
