If I were your doctor, I would advise you for a broad spectrum antibiotic and an anti inflammatory drug along with a proton pump inhibitor drug without any hot compress. If the infection subsides, the planned surgery on next friday could be done. If it does not subside, and an abscess forms, then you might have to get an incision and drainage done for the abscess by a general surgeon and get the cyst removed if forms again at a later date.
