I am 14 years old and got my period 2 years and 3 months ago. My breast are still in the "budding" stage of developement. One of my breast is larger than the other due to a lump the size of a ping pong ball or bigger. On that same breast, the nipple is about the size of a flattened ping pong ball and is puffy and soft. I was wondering if there is something wrong with that breast? Also, is it normal that my breast are still at the stage they are supossed to be in when I first get my period?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.Lump in the breast is not normal, and asymmetrical breast with lump and nipple symptoms needs to evaluate. 2.It could be inflammatory / infective aetiology. 3.If you are my patient, fist thing i would have examine the breast, then ask for a ultrasound breast, which will evaluate the nature of the lesion and its extensions. 4.In your age i don't thing any malignancy, most probably ductal dilatation, benign lesion. 5.Do not ignore, start workup and get treated. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
