Suggest Treatment For A Itchy Rash On The Armpit

I have a rash that started under my armpits about a month ago and itches. Went to family Dr and they gave me a cream to help with it and suggested I change my deo. Been using cream twice day (as prescribed) and switched deo...just today the rash has started to spread to my chest area. I had a similar heat rash that flared up due to stress several years ago. I m trying to decide if it s something I need to back to family Dr for.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rash on armpit which could be due to increased skin susceptibility of body getting infected and it is due to allergic reaction of body. Need not to worry. You should take diet rich in multivitamins. Till then apply topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily at affected sites for 7- 10 days. Avoid touching or pricking rashes as it will exaggerate your situation. I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. You should go for patch test for allergic reaction. Start treatment after proper examination and diagnosis. Avoid intake of oily and fast food. You should not touch and prick them. Drink plenty of water.
