i am a 45 year old male. I do not take any regular medications and consider myself healthy. recently in local river and developed itchy rash across abdomen along waistline. nothing is open or seeping. rash has been there for 1 week. tried hydrocortisone cream that helps with the itch but does not go away. even tried triple antibiotic cream without any changes. don t know what this could be. there are no other symptoms.

According to your history it appears to be ringworm infection. You need to keep your soap and towel seperate, wear loose fitted cotton clothes, be in a cool and airy environment, keep the area as dry as possible and shouldn't share your clothes. Also start taking tablet terbinafine 250 mg once daily along with tablet levocetrizine 5mg once daily and apply sertaconazole cream over the affected site twice daily..
