Suggest Treatment For A Bump On The Head Post Head Injury
Hi. I was working last night, I was cleaning underneath the line where I cook, and I got up really fast and smacked the top of my head on the corner of the stainless steel table pretty hard where we prepare the food. Instantly I felt a little dizzy but it went away and a bump formed on the top of my head. I feel fine today I have a little bit of a mild headache, but I think thats cause I went to sleep and woke up at weird times today. Am I okay? I read its not good to take advil if you have a concussion but I probably dont right?
I went through the history you are having a bump on the head following a injury. The bump is because of collection of blood in the layers of scalp as a result of bleeding, this is called as hematoma. This will decrease slowly and applying cold compression is helpful. You can use advil for pain associated with it. But if you are having signs of concussion injury like loss of consciousness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness.... you need to consult your doctor for examination and treatment for the concussion head injury.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Hope this is helpful yo you.
Thank you
