Suggest Treatment For A Bump On The C Section Scar
I had a csection almost a year ago and I recently had a bump pop up right in the middle of it. It popped yesterday and now it kind of looks opened a tiny bit. It s not swollen nor does it hurt. Once it popped it felt better. I didn t know if I should call a dr or let it heal
One information would have been of use for diagnosis: Does it pop up with cough or strain and subsides on lying down position. This seems to be incisional hernia. It means that the scar has become week and given way in the deeper tissues - muscles of the abdomen under the scar. Hence the intestines and/or peritoneum is escaping through the weakened area under the skin. Such condition needs a surgical repair. Please show it to the Obstetrician who has performed CSection on you. He/she will diagnose it correctly and advice you regarding the probable surgery.
