Suggest Treatment For A Bruise On The Hip
Hello I just returned from a 3 hour flight and noticed a large dark purple bruise on my hip. Last year I flew to China and noticed large bruises like this on my forearms . Later in the year flew to Korea and again bruised on my inner thigh. No pain. No bumping myself. I take no meds. Am quite healthy. No further bruising after finding these bruises. They seem to appear from flying. What is this? I had a checkup 2 months ago and all my lab was normal. Thank you Cindy

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bruise on the hip . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like trauma , coagulopathy , anticoagulant medications , mongolian spot , local infection or hematoma . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses , keep the site clean and dry , apply over the counter antibiotics ointment and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Wear loose cloths and keep the area clean and dry .If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may drain the hematoma , prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin or antifungal depending upon the diagnosis along with anti inflammatory .
