Suggest Treatment For PCOS Despite Medication

hi i am 23 years old. i have been diagnosed with PCOS 3 years back. Since then i have tried a lot of medicines. initialy i was on progestron tablets but it caused me acne so my doctor recommended me ginette35 and metaformin. also according to my harmone profile the free testosterone in my system is about 52(don t remember the unit). i also havea bit of facial hair. though my ultra sound shows no cyst but i suffer from heavy bleeding. its been 9 months of ginette i don t see any significant change even while i am on medication. my BMI is 23.9. Please tell me how long will it take for the tablet to actually show results.

Hi.

Your BMI also seems fine, but as you have PCOS you will need to go about a slight dietary change, lose a little weight and also exercise a little on a daily basis. If there has been no change at all in your menstrual cycle since starting the medication then may be you should revisit your doctor and go about another change in prescription.

Best wishes.
