Suggest Treatment For Lyme Disease

Have had Lyme disease for 30 years, was treated, but chronic. Have had scalp probe during that time--itching, sore spot, but now unbearable, bumps, places that feel raw, no oozing or discharge, doc says she sees little red lines. She thought Candida, but have been using anti fungal shampoo every day for 2 weeks, leaving it on for hours, doesn t seem to be helping. Other doc says nerve damage, but why would that cause bumps and raw spots? I m thinking Lyme relapse, but no idea what will help. Driving me nuts. Is there an anti itch med or cream or something that would help?

Hi i am Dr Ahmed Aly
thanks for using helthcaremagic site ,
topical ointments and creams would help to prevent the symptoms from exagerating , steroids and antifungals are also helpful but with chronic cases you need topical and systemic treatments . Persistent or chronic Lyme disease is treated with intravenous antibiotics for a period of 14 to 21 days. That eliminates infection. However, improvement of symptoms occurs more slowly.
cefuroxime and amoxicillin for adults are recommended

Hope the above information helps you,Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic.
