Suggest Treatment For Knee Bursitis

I had a bursitis event on my knee Thursday. I am on antibiotics for a small sign of a possible skin infection. I have followed rest, ice, compression and elevation. I am also on ibuprofen. I am using crutches to stay off too much weight on knee. I removed my bandage for a bit and found an orange size patch of a bruise that developed within the past 6 hours. Is this normal?
