Hi, I am a fit, 22 year old female who has had IBS since childhood, which varies between constipation and diarrhea. The last few weeks, I have been having extremely severe bouts of agonizing, sudden/urgent, and completely liquid diarrhea. I went to the doctor, but they just told me to see my GI specialist, who is booked until later this week. I thought I would be okay waiting, but then today I had stomach pain followed by pitch black stool which contained very light brown/yellowish globs or chunks in it, which float when separated. My stool is often mucusy, but this looked quite different. It was all very soft, but formed, and foul smelling. I absolutely will still see my GI on Thursday, but I was wondering if meantime anyone might have any idea what is going on with me?
