Suggest Treatment For Helicobacter Pylori And Severe Indigestion

Hello, I think my husband has Helicobacter Pylori he was admitted to hospital yesterday and tests were undertaken all of which were clear. He was diagnosed with severe indigestion, however he has a stabbing pain in his GI tract . He was sent home with Omeprazole, but if he has the above conditions does he not need an antibiotic as well?

Noted the history about your husband suffering from H. pylori and got admitted with severe indigestion. He has a stabbing pain in his GI tract, sent home with Omeprazole. Wants to know whether he needs an antibiotic or not.
My thoughts as per the history you have provided:
He needs Omeprazole.
Antacid liquid every three hours.
Motility regulator like Domperidone.
Evaluation of indigestion with stool, urine and blood tests as well as as Upper GI Endoscopy and further tests as needed.
Yes, there is a kit for H. pylori which also contains an antibiotic.
Have regular reviews by a Gastroenterologist till he gets cured.
Control of an anxiety and /or stress is also an important part of life.
