I have Hashimoto's disease where it has completely shut down my thyroid, it produces nothing so my doc put me on the highest level of synthroid he could (based off of height weight and age i think) 150mcg (i think its mcg). I have chronic sinus and upper respritory infections. Are these problems connected and if so what do I tell my doctor to look at?

Suggest Treatment For Hashimoto's Disease
Hi, Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Your sinus infection is not related to hypothyroidism. You need to consult an ENT surgeon and have evaluated for same. Yor thyroid function tests have to be periodically tested and dose optimized. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help With warm regards, Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM) Consultant Endocrinologist.
