General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria. These germs can enter your body and live in your digestive tract. After many years, they can cause sores, called ulcers, in the lining of your stomach or the upper part of your small intestine.
Therapy for H. pylori infection consists of
-10 days to 2 weeks of one or two effective antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, tetracycline, metronidazole, or clarithromycin
-ranitidine bismuth citrate, or a proton pump inhibitor like omeprasole
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Wash your hands after you use the bathroom and before you prepare or eat food.
-Avoid food or water that’s not clean.
-Don’t eat anything that isn’t cooked thoroughly.
-Avoid food served by people who haven’t washed their hands.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
