Suggest Treatment For E-coli Infection

My mother is suffering from e coli almost 18 months now, she is on and off admitted with heavy antibiotics. She is diabetics and there is no improvement till date. Lately her feets are badly swollen and reddish and she is very pale. Please advice this symptoms and what further treatment is required ,thank you in advance.

Hi thanks for asking question in health care magic....

Here for E. Coli infection source searched through detail history and examination...
Culture can be done to choose proper antibiotic rather than giving emipirical treatment....

For leg swelling check your sugar level..
Sugar level should be kept in limit ....

Now if examination suggest toward different cause of leg swelling than investigation done like for heart failure ecg, for kidney problem serum urea and creatinin, for hypothyroidism serum tsh can be done...
For liver problem sgpt, sgot, PT , usg like investigation done...

According to cause treatment guided
