Suggest Treatment For DVT

i have dvt in right leg presently i use acetrome
when iused warfarin inr was 1.23then it increased upto 1.38 in ptt . then i used acetrome 1 it reached 0.98 now i am using actrome 2 next ptt ihave to do on 2nd sept am i going right or i should go for warfarin

Hi,
Your INR should be between 2 and 3.
Whatever medicine can make you reach that sooner is better. Probably in your case Warfarin. Start with a 5mg dose and do INR test every 3 to 5 days until it reaches more than 2. If it does not reach 2 within a week then you can increase the dose to 7.5mg and if INR shoots above 3 then you can decrease the dose of Warfarin to 2.5mg. Once it is stabilised between 2 and 3 you should get INR done every two weeks to keep it between 2 and 3. After six months of this treatment you can stop the Warfarin/ Acitrom and start having Aspirin 75mg only. That would be the complete treatment for your DVT.
