Suggest Treatment For D12 Bone Fracture
My mother slipped few days back. As per M.S. (ortho) doctor her D12 bone got fractured. His opinion is to take complete bed rest for 6 weeks. Chances are that 80-90% will gett recovred after heeling. Please suggest, if something different to be done. Regards

I may suggest for wearing of spinal brace in day time to avoid bending of spine.Also give calcium and vitamin D supplements, check for serum calcium and dexa score whether she is osteoporotic .With all these precautions, she will heal in 6-8 weeks
