My mom is 88 years old and has copd and emphysema and is on o2 3 liters. She has had a nose bleed twice in the last few days. Stopped bleeding quickly with pressue applied. She just felt like she needed to clear her throat (not cough) and when she did she put a tissue to her mouth and it was bloody with what looked like a clot. Earlier she had felt a little woozy. She takes 2.5 to 5mg of predisone daily and therefore takes januvia for blood sugars.she has felt woozy in the past inthe mornings and we attributed it to hi sugars.he glucose this am was 229 before eating and meds. I am concerned about the clot/blood...she feels fine now and doesn t want to go to er. Wants to wait and see how she feels later.
