Suggest Treatment For CA Ovary With Metastasis In Liver
My mother, 59 years is a CA ovary patient and had undergone total hysteroctomy and 6 cycles chemotherapy with paclitaxel and carboplatin. Everyting was going well for last one year or so, but during past 3 months her CA125 was elevating against negetive CT scan report. Last week FDG PET CT was carried out and it revealed metastisis in liver, lymphnodes in lung and throat, all growth are sub centimiter and some of them with intense FDG intake. What would be the second look treatment for her? Please reply.

I understood your concern and My opinion is that your mother is having advanced stage cancer ovary so at this stage only palliative care treatment along with chemotherapy can help because even after second look surgert there are less chance of getting complete removal of tumour. i will advise to go for second line chemotherapy because you already completed 6 cycle with carboplatin and paclitaxel and still ca 125 rise with in 6 months of completed therapy
