Suggest Therapy For Panic & Anxiety Followed By Dizziness

6 months ago my best friend died. This brought a lot of panic and anxiety for me. I started suffering dizziness and feeling spaced out, as had numbness in parts of my body.my gp did various blood tests, everything was normal and she diagnosed anxiety. The thing is i really arent convicned. I feel dreadful, my head feels so heavy and feels as though its being forced forward from the back it feels really tight like its twitching inside and theres so much pressure. i also get very weird sensation, that start from my stomach and rush to my head and the rest of my body.. it makes me go really warm and feel as though im fading away or about to pass out ( i never have) my ears also become very full when this happens. I have told my gp and also seen a few others to get other opinions and they all say anxiety! my symptoms arent constant but im so sure this is a neurological problem and i have insited my gp refer me to a neurologist. i feel like im being fobbed off.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Thanks for putting query on health care magic. If I had similar patient visiting my clinic I would have started him with course of anxiolytics which i would have continued for 6 to 8 months before tapering and stopping.Your problem does not seem to be neurological one but panic disorder so visit local psychiatrist for further help.Hope I was helpful in answering your query.
