What right does a pain Dr. have to run a drug test
when he has had you on loratab for 3 years and
you have never abused it. You use the same amount of loratab every month for the chronic pain caused
from herniated l-4,l-5,S-1 both types of aurtheritze.
You have a pain pump that he put in and he has a
new assistant who runs a drug test then walks in the door and says (even if you just passed the test)

You might need a direct question for this. First, the doctor has a duty to evaluate for drugs of abuse. Marijuana gets to be a tricky situation. It is illegal mostly. It is being evaluated as a pain drug and being considered to become legalized as a pain drug.
Lying about a drug test is not good, but if someone is using marijuana it should certainly be discussed.
