hi i have been diagnoised with an enlarged uterus the size of a four month pregnancy and a fibroid insid that is 8,5, 8,5 by 6 cm. how much do you think it could way? and i am having severe abdominal pressure. Fullnes, acid reflux and i also have a prolapsed bladder.
Hello The normal size of UTERUS is 7-6 x 4.5 x 3-00 cm . As you mentioned that there is a fibroid and size of fibroid is (8.5 x 8.5x6.0 cm ) . Answer only option is surgery . As far as known to me there is no medicine , which can reduce the side of fibroid . For fullness , and acid reflux , take some antacid but if symptoms are sever you may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole-D. For prolapsed bladder you must consult a surgeon and get his opinion as it depends upon the ligaments holding the bladder . Physical examination is very important so consult a surgeon and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
