If you are using medication for your thyroid hormone level and your levels are within normal range then it should not have an effect on your weight.

If the thyroid levels are low then your medication may need adjusting.

Thyroid hormone issues may also affect fertility.

Weight reduction can be achieved by diets and exercise. If it is difficult to do on your own then it may be best to see a nutritionist or weight loss doctor.
