Suggest The Cause For Seborrheic Dermatitis

Hi! I am having problems with my ears. The inside of my ear keeps itching with flaky patches in my ear. The patches are white, sometimes slightly yellow and what looks like dead skin. I feel like I am going slightly deaf at times, although I don t experience any pain. Any idea what this condition could be? Thank!

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Dry flaky patches inside ear could be due to excessive shedding of superficial skin.
This is a features of seborrheic dermatitis however, a clinical assessment by a dermatologist is required for definitive diagnosis.
Topical use of anti-fungals will help to alleviate the symptoms.
Short term steroids may be used for immediate effect, however, long term use may lead to rebound.

Thanks and take care
