General & Family Physician 's  Response
thank you for your query
Genital warts can be diagnosed by physical examinations for visible warts and are caused by Human Papilloma virus(HPV)
Sometimes they are not visible and cause symptoms like vaginal bleeding, burning, itching, discharge.

there is no specific test for testing Hpv, however Pap smear can help to show any signs of altered cell structures. this is important as an infection with HPV can lead to cervical cancer in women and regular testing can catch it early and timely intervention can help to lead a cancer free life.
It is also important to know HPV is a sexually transmitted disease. .

Inform your OBGYN you think you have warts and would like to have a PAPSMEAR done. make sure to let them know of any other symptoms you may have.
please do not delay as it is vital to detect it early in order to completely treat it.
hope this helps.
please let us know if you need any clarification
wish you good health
