Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Dr.I had sex last month with a girl from switzerland when I was in germany. We did it twice and in both times I used a condom. However, during the second one the condom broke. I realized it after around 5 minutes of being inside her.I panicked on the spot and I asked her if shes carrying any STD. She said shes 100 % clean and that she had STD tests before because of some kind of allergies she had and shes compeletly fine. She even gave me her number and we were texting each other few weeks after. The reason why the condom broke (other than the fact that it was low quality), is because she was dry the second time and her vagina was quite tight because of the position and the way she was lying down.I am circumcised, when it happened I rushed to the toilet and cleaned my penis with water. Although she said that shes ok, I still think about it all the time. Should I do an HIV test? Should I stop panicking and do nothing? I appreciate your advice. Thank you
Firstly breath easy, don't panic. If your partner doesn't have any STD or HIV you can't get it. STD would heve appeared by this time, if it was there. HIV although may take time to appear but if you believe your partner (you can request a copy of test result if she has it), you can stay tension free. Morever every unprotected sex doesn't lead to infections (but never take a chance)
If you still want to go for test, visit any STD clinic or Laboratory. There are several fast tests available based on your blood sample. You can request test and relive your anxiety.
I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write for follow up queries. I wish you good luck. Please provide a feedback. Thanks.
