Suggest Suitable Therapy For Diabetes
age 32 years
weight -84 kg
sex- female
problem- diabetic, insulin dependent.- insulin resistant and obese
both the parents were diabetic and have met with early death from cardiac problem at their age of 52 yrs (father), 60 yrs(mother- LVF)
i am taking human mixtard twice daily a total of 65 units. still fasting sugar report is never less than 250 mg ans pp 325 mg
staunchly following diabetic diet and doing weight managemnt prog also.
want to conceive, so diabetic control has become a must.
please help.

i can understand your concern
i would like to know the duration of diabetes.
you mentioned about insulin resistance but you are not taking any medication to address that issue.
i suggest to speak with your doctor in considering a medication called metformin
this medicine works against your insulin resistance and also helps in reducing your weight.
you mentioned that you are having problem in conceiving.
i suggest you to considering going for hormonal analysis to check for gynee problems.
the insulin regimen can also be changed to basal and bolus regimen for a superior control.
try speaking with your treating doc regarding basal and bolus regimen.
