Suggest Side Effects Of Enzocort For Cough & Cold
My boy is 6 yrs old and weighs 17 kg. He suffers from cough and cold regularly. His doctor prescribed ENZOCORT oral suspension 6.5ml thrice daily for 5 days. He also prescribed VENTEX-PD and ONIMEXkid. Now my question is, how safe is the steroid and whether it is absolutely necessary? Please help. Thanks.

Long term use of steroids is harmful. As your son suffers from recurrent cold and cough, it is necessary to give him steroids to prevent allergy. After a month or two he will be weaned off from it slowly by your doctor. Steroids are given where it is necessary. No need to worry.
