Hallow Dear,

There are medical as well as surgical methods which will help you to terminate your unwanted pregnancy. However, none of these methods are advised to be practised without a Gynaecologist's help.

You have passed 2 months; exact period of your pregnancy cannot be inferred from your history. I am providing you the options for terminating the pregnancy; you may choose suitable one for you.

A. For terminating pregnancy up to 9 weeks (63 days) of duration:

1. Tab. Mifepristone to be followed by Tab. Misoprostol after 24-48 hours.
2. Misoprostol only: Tab. Misoprostol every 3-12 hours up to 3 doses.
These medicines should be taken by a Gynaecologist's prescription and advice regarding the dosage, schedule and routes of administration.
3. Surgical methods like MVA aspiration, suction evacuation, etc.

B. For termination between 9 and 12 weeks of pregnancy

1. Tab. Mifepristone to be followed after 36-48 hours by Tab. Misoprostol every 3 hours up to 5 doses.
2. Surgical methods like Suction evacuation

Since your pregnancy is under 3 months, I am not bothering you with the methods for termination after 12 weeks.

Usually the Medical Termination is complete within 24 hours but not later than 3 days of the last dose of Misoprostol. It is advisable to confirm the completeness of abortion by ultrasonography and not by urine pregnancy test as it takes about a weeks for it to become negative.

These medicines cause the developmental abnormalities in the baby; hence in case of their failure, the pregnancy should not be continued but be terminated by surgical method.

I hope this helps you.

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Yes you can use MTP kit after after consultation with gynecologist.
You should use under the supervision of gynecologist to prevent complication.
First you have to confirm the intrauterine pregnancy by USG.

You should use gynecologist prescribed MTP abortion kit. And it is confidential process.

Kit contain five tablet-
One tablet of Mifepristone 600 mg (One tablet) take orally after meal
After 24 hr of oral tablet, put four tablet of misoprostol in to vagina under the supervision of gynecologist
With in 1-2 hours of punting tablet in to vagina , bleeding will come out and that is conception product/embryo.
If withdrawal bleeding will not come , double dose may be needed in some case.
Slight Bleeding and abdominal cramp may continue for 4-6 days.
Follow up USG is needed to confirm the incomplete abortion.

After using kit take following advice:
Proper rest
Tablet meftal spas
Tablet globac-Z
Healthy diet with adequate vitamin and mineral supplemets
Relaxation and stretching exercise
Take fruits like papaya, orange and pineapple
Maintain pelvic hygiene
Wear pure cotton loose inner wear
Use safer sex practice to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Choose your contraception method.
Also check for foul smelling vaginal discharge for infection.

Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
