Suggest Safe Methods To Undergo Abortion
I am 36 year old having a 3 year old daughter who is having down syndrome,again when I conceived my ultrasonic report (N.T),REFLECTED THE ABNORMALITY and my consulting doctor suggested me to abort the child,so just few days back I went through an abortion.Doc. plz suggest me what should I do to.

Understand your concern
Up to 9 week of pregnancy safe method for medical termination of pregnancy is mifepristone plus misoprostol, if it is used under guidance and observation of gynecologist. Pre abortion USG should be done to check intrauterine pregnancy.
600 mg mifepristone should be followed by 800 ug misoprostol vaginally by gynecologist after 48 hour. Abortion process will start with in 30-45 hour and will complete in 4-6 days. Follow up at 7th day and USG at 14th day to confirm incomplete abortion.
For abortion of 12-20 week of pregnancy, best is surgical evacuation as high risk of failure and excessive bleeding in advanced pregnancy.
You can also use misoprostol 400 ug every 4-5 hourly.
Post abortion advice: rest, sound sleep, analgesic, healthy diet with iron supplements and proper pelvic hygiene
