Suggest Role Of Ramipril For Bp

I am on ramipril and cardevilol for high BP. I am having light-headedness, fainting like symptoms, sudden weakness, dizziness, when getting up suddenly from sitting or lying down. My BP is running around 90/48. What is the Ramipril supposed to do for my heart?

Hi,

Ramipril is an anti-hypertensive drug of ACE-inhibitor class. Its role is to lower blood pressure.

The symptoms you are having (sudden weakness, dizziness when getting up suddenly from sitting or lying down) are indicative for sudden drop in bp.

You are also reporting a bp of 90/48, which is also low. To my opinion, you should discuss with your doctor to adjust the dosage of Ramipril.

Hope it helped!
