Suggest Remedy To Treat Keratoconus

My son is 23 yrs., in the military in Germany. He was recently told he has Kerato Cornus and may be discharged because of this. Is there any remedy, surgical procedure or pharmaloigcal way to slow down it's progression? His eyesight was 20/20 last yr. when 1st diag. & now is 20/30.

Please help..

1. Contact lenses are the main treatment for most patients
2. Using sunglasses outdoors may help slow or prevent the progress of the disease.

3. High-frequency radio energy (conductive keratoplasty) changes the shape of the cornea so contact lenses work better.

4. Corneal transplants can be undertaken if all the above measures failed to yield a positive result.
