Suggest Remedy To Relieve Pain In Feet

I am seventy years old, 65 in height, and weigh 195 pounds. I have pain in the tops of my feet, and the tops of my feet look a little distorted in height. I have high arches. I think the pain is related to my being overweight. When I have been sitting for a long time and get up, I limp because of the pain. But after walking maybe 30 steps, the pain goes away, and I can walk briskly without limping. But when I am site-seeing with my family for hours, my feet become achey. They aren t sharply painful, but feel tired and achey, and I want to sit down. Advice?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.

Pain in foot may be due to repeated over-stressing of the same structure of the foot as it may lead to stress fractures, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and acute and chronic osteoarthritis. pain in foot may also occur in patients of increased uric acid or RA factor. You should get your RA factor quantitative, serum uric acid, E.S.R, C.R.P and x-ray of foot in AP, Oblique and Lateral view done. If all the reports are with in normal limits and if fasting blood sugar is also in normal limit then you should follow following treatment:

-Provide rest to affected foot as much as you can for 3-4 days.
-Do regular calf and foot muscle stretching exercise as uploaded on you tube.
-You can take tab. aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase combination in morning evening and night by discussing it with your doctor.
-Shoes with good arch support and a cushioned sole.

Apply hot packs for 30 mins over affected foot in morning and evening.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
