Hello,

You haven't mentioned if you got it looked at by a spine surgeon. And also if or not you had imaging done on your mid-back. Most of the pains are generally due to muscle strain, and they get spasmodic. If the pain has been persisting for more than a month or two, it is indicative of radiculopathy where the nerve roots get impinged by an extruding disc or by either a bulge or herniation.

In that case, you should get an MRI of your mid-back, and also know the general condition of the full spine, you can go for a whole spine screening too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hardik Sanghvi
