Suggest Remedy To Heal Cartilage Tear Quickly

Our son was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left wrist. The orthopedic surgeon gave him a brace to see if the tear heals on it s own. The only thing is that he is an ice hockey player and plays for his college team. Practices will be starting soon and include workouts. Ideally what is the best treatment for him? Are there supplements that promote healing of the cartilage. thank you

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Our body has natural healing capacity by its own. After any injury if we gives the rest to that part ,it will repair fast. For cartilage damage or tear, the immobilization in brace for two-three weeks will be sufficient. After that physiotherapy plays vital role to restore the wrist movements.High protein and calcium diet will be help for better regeneration.
Thanks
