General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read the details given by you.
You have not mentioned whether the spot is itchy or not? You might have also mentioned whether you have observed fine scales over patch or not?
Your doctor might have diagnosed it as pityriasis which is a kind of fungal infection of skin. In this case, miconazole & hydrocortisone is appropriate treatment.
It will take some more time for the results to be obvious. I advise you to carry on with the treatment as advised by your doctor.
Hope this will be helpful.
Thanks for your question.
Take care.
