Suggest Remedy For Wheezing, Extreme Bouts Of Cough With Vomiting

a little over 1 month ago I was cleaning my camper of mold and mildew (I did wear gloves & I have a history of asthma). Two days later I began with a head cold.... treating it at home. About one week later it had moved into my chest. After attempting to treat it at home for 3 weeks with no success (fevers on & off during this duration) I decided to make an appointment with my DR. Due to wheezing she gave me 1 week of pretnazone & a steroid inhailor. I was advised to keep using the inhailor until I felt better. Once I fely better to continue the inhailor for one more week. After a couple days of taking my meds... I started to feel better & the fevers stopped. Now its been over a month... Im still barley coughing anything up. I can feel & hear the rattling in my upper chest on both sides. I am also still coughing like crazy, and with-in the last week have had shortness of breath. I am coughing so hard that I am vomiting daily. I have noticed that in the morning when I wake up and laying down to try and sleep are my worst times. I do cough through out the day. Should I go back to the Doctors? I just hate to go for the common cold .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
You need to go back to the doctor since this is just not common cold, you may have a full chest, you may need physiotherapy to cough it out, probably nebulization every 4-6 hours and inhalers.
I highly suggest you go back and take the appropriate treatment
