Suggest Remedy For Umbilical Hernia?

Hello, my baby is 15 month has unbelical hernia since 6 weeks old. Every week his hernia extending and very hard sometimes he is doubling over with pain i give him gas pain relive hernia subside in size and goes in and my son can fall asleep. Please advise what to do ? pediatrician say it ok and should be able fix itself by age 3 and same time monitor it. I m confused baby in pain weekly doctors say it ok it will pass online stated have to go to emergency room if his belly button is tight and baby in pain..what should I do?

Hi Dear
welcome to the HCM,
If the internal contents are intangling inside the sac and causing problems pain etc then it is better to get it operated and possibley spontenous remission is not possible in such age.
Strangulation of the intestine is possible serious complication may require immediate surgery.
