Suggest Remedy For Ulcerative Colitis

I have had ulcerative colitis for a couple months now and my G.I. doctor has me starting Humira stomach shots, but unfortunately I got a flu bug in my chest and my normal doctor has me taking antibiotics the five-day Z pack which I am finished now, but I still have all the symptoms and he gave me another five days Z pack to start today. Should I start taking my Humira shots now or wait till my symptoms are all gone???

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thank for your query.
Noted the history of having ulcerative colitis for a couple of months, under Humira shots for ulcerative colitis, but since you have started on respiratory flue your General Doctor has advised you to have Zpack for 5 days without much of an effect, hence asked to repeat it for 5 more days, wants to know whether to have Humira shot now or defer.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Wait for Humira shots till full recovery from fly as flu reduces the immunity.
You need not take Zpack as this antibiotic works for more duration of 3 to 7 days.
You have to take symptomatic treatment as per the problems show up.
Take full rest.
Multivitamins
Watch for any intestinal symptoms.
Take only those foods and beverages that suit you.
Humira shot to be taken only when your Doctors advise you to.
