Suggest Remedy For Tightness In Chest And Shortness Of Breath
Went to the Dr last week for weakness, headache, soar throat, chest tightness and would cough up green mucus mainly on mornings. Prescription: Bro-zedex syrup, Advil and Zyrtec. I also has a mild temperature. Dr said my throat was slightly inflamed and I seemed to be developing bronchitis. I was asked to collect antibiotics if I didn t improve in 2 days. I started to feel better in a few days. Now my chest is always tight and I feel short of breath. I went back for the antibiotics but those made me feel sick. What can I do.
Hi welcome to HCM. Shortness of breath in your case seem to be due to inadequate resolution of infection.I advice you to have a baseline chest x ray to assess the distribution of infection.Complete course of antibiotics for prescribed time period is needed.Bronchial washing culture can be useful to find out the specific infectious agent responsible and direct appropriate antibiotic therapy.Have a baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo to rule out organic heart pathology.Consult your chest physician for further queries. Thank you.
